Artistic leader at Walter Boeykens Klarinet Festival, initiator of Borboleta Music, freelance clarinet soloist, teacher.

He had his first clarinet lesson at the age of eleven. Ever since his life is all about music.
Recently he initiated and organised the first and very succesful biennially Walter Boeykens Clarinet Festival with musicians from all over the world.

Since 2012 he encountered serious vision problems that threatened to influence his musical career. He created Borboleta Music, a fusion style project, where he improvise with leading jazz and classical musicians as well as musicians from different world cultures (world music). They create music on the spot, that doesn't reflect the intentions of a composer but instead it a kind of music whose muse is the coming together of musicians on a stage, fuelled by their meeting and mutual inspiration.

Besides that he continue performing as a soloist, finding pleasure in the music he have been playing for more than 30 years.

Andre joins on a regular basis the KlarinetNsemble as soloist. Jointly we recorded our CD in 2016.
